Cloth Weaver began as a side project in September 2017. While developing clothes for my 3D characters, I often found myself repeating tedious tasks; applying modifiers, adjusting physics simulations and tweaking parameters over and over again. It became such a hassle that I decided to automate my workflow.

Taking my previous programming knowledge, in addition to some more research, I had designed a bare bones version of what you see today. The initial program had two functions, attach and sew clothing, along with a couple outfit templates.

Curiosity struck as I heard of Blender artists and their successes with marketing their creations. Nearing the end of September, the first version of Cloth Weaver was released. I had no clue what to expect.

To my surprise, Cloth Weaver began to receive dozens of downloads and many positive critiques. This fueled the fire to continue chiseling away at this new hobby. Upon having amassed 600+ users over the course of 8 months, I am beginning to see a bright future for Cloth Weaver.
