Virtus Winter Game Jam 2018

Hello everyone, I have some exciting news!  This winter, Cloth Weaver is partnering with Virtus Learning Hub for their Virtus Winter Game Jam 2018.  We will also be offering prizes for the winners!

The Virtus Jam is a relaxed competition in which you make a game based on the theme (which will be announced at 6PM on 14th December) and submit it before 6.00pm on 4th January. It will be a great opportunity to meet new people and become part of a growing community as you push yourself to learn new skills and create an amazing game.

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Happy Halloween everyone!

As we enter October, be on the lookout for new holiday updates and some exciting opportunities for the community! Please comment below for new clothing templates you would like to see in the next release!

In the newest Cloth Weaver 4.3 update, we have removed the manual “odd|even procedure” that was used for designing custom clothes. We now have an intuitive system in place that streamlines user workflow! Here is a link to the latest v4.3 video tutorial with an entire workflow.

If you are running v4.16+ you can update right within Blender! If you are running a previous version, you can log in to your Blender Market or Gumroad account and obtain the update there. Remember to remove the old version in user preferences before installing the latest when done manually.

License Errors (Updated)

Hello everyone,

I hope all is well. I would like to apologize regarding Cloth Weaver’s inability to handle unexpected shutdowns.  Scenarios such as Blender crashes and system shutdowns would not register with the server. Upon opening Cloth Weaver again, it would spit out an error saying that too many keys are in use… I am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

I am pushing out an update (4.162) which I hope will remedy the situation. As an example: If Blender decides to crash, your key will be reset after 2 minutes, allowing you to resume creating. The new update is available for download in the Cloth Weaver panel (if you currently run 4.16) and through Gumroad.com/Library.

Auto Updates!

Hello everyone,

I hope you all are having a fantastic week! I have just released a new version of Cloth Weaver that allows for auto updates right in Blender! After manually installing this version, you will no longer have to deal with logging into web portals and taking time out of your work-flow.

When you download the new update from Gumroad, it will say “4.16” However when installing the first time, it will say you have “4.15” and present you with the ability to download “4.16” The reason behind this is to try out the new auto update feature and make sure downloads work for all users.

If there are any issues, please email me at support@clothweaver.com and describe any errors or problems and include your OS version and Blender version.

I am hopeful that this update will greatly increase usability and allow for a more streamlined support system.

Error (resolved): Unexpected EOF while Parsing

Hello everyone!

On August 5th, it is noted that some users are experienced an “EOF” error when installing the Cloth Weaver 4.15 update.  I have re-uploaded the previous 4.1 version for usability. You can choose between which version to download by logging into your Gumroad account and viewing your Library of items. I appreciate those who are helping test out beta versions and providing feedback. I hope to have this issue resolved quickly. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

UPDATE August 8th:  The issue appears to be resolved as users are reporting that version 4.15 is now working!

Update: License Migration

Hello everyone, a brief but important update has arrived…

Cloth Weaver 4.01 gives users the power to easily migrate their license from one machine(s) to another/others (depending on how many installs they have).

Example: John has 1 install of Cloth Weaver on his desktop and wants to put a copy on his laptop for work on the go. John opens Cloth Weaver on his desktop and clicks the “De-activate this install” button.  He moves over to his laptop and launches another copy of Cloth Weaver. He enters his license key and email address and now has access on his laptop!  Once John is ready to work on his desktop, he simply repeats the process by clicking “De-activate this install” on the laptop version, moves to his desktop, enters his license key and email and now has access again on the desktop.

A brand new start!

Hello everyone, current users and new guests!

This period in time marks a brand new start for Cloth Weaver. Cloth Weaver is now owned and operated by Xanderak, LLC.
Our website www.ClothWeaver.com is live and operational.  We now have a central area where users can get updates, support and contribute to the growing community.

Cloth Weaver v4.0 is now out and contains massive updates.

  • The Mini-Market: A side panel where users can browse for other user created content and sell their own creations
  • Updated UI: A more organized and easy to follow interface. Now contains groupings for different panels. Less scrolling.
  • Backup/Restore: Store and delete multiple backups
  • Materials: Grunge slider (adds variance and character)
  • Patterns: Leaf and stripes pattern
  • Templates: Collar shirt
